Malmö Ideella
Malmö Ideella is an organisation that collaborates with the City of Malmö, when it comes to questions concerning the best for the citizen in Malmö. It also collaborates with governmental bodies, such as the universities and foremost with Malmö University. One of the missions for Malmö Ideella is to help new citizens in Malmö find activities for children, youth, grown ups and more. It can be newcomers, students or others. We are at Open Your Eyes to Malmö to answer questions about activities if you do not find one amongst the other participating associations/organisations.
Positiva Gruppen Syd, PG Syd
We are a non-profit organization based in Malmö that works for people living with or affected by HIV in southern Sweden. We offer a network built on friendship and knowledge where we work to increase the quality of life for people living with HIV and increase the public's knowledge that well-treated HIV is not transmitted. With us you can find community, support and advice through our call center but also drop-in activities every Thursday, joint dinners, lectures and other meetings. As a member you also get access to free training at Friskis & Svettis. Welcome to get in touch or stop by!
Pegla Jiu Jitsu
PEGLA is an organization that creates opportunities for people to grow through martial arts, community, and personal development – both on and off the mat. With Brazilian jiu-jitsu, grappling, and Muay Thai as central parts of the organization, we create an environment where physical development meets mental strength, discipline, and belonging. For us, martial arts is more than training. It is a tool for building self-confidence, responsibility, respect, and the ability to face adversity and move forward. Our starting point is simple: potential is everywhere, but opportunities are not always equally accessible. Therefore, PEGLA wants to create contexts where people, regardless of background or previous experience, have the opportunity to develop, find their strength, and become part of a community where they are both challenged and lifted up. On the mat, we learn something that extends far beyond martial arts. That success requires patience. That adversity is part of development. That discipline is built through action. And that real strength is also about respect, humility, and the ability to help others grow. Through training, activities, meetings and development initiatives, PEGLA builds bridges between martial arts, individuals and society. We want to give people tools that strengthen them here and now, but also qualities and relationships that they can carry with them throughout life. For us, success is therefore not only measured in achievements on the mat. It is seen in people who dare to believe more in themselves, take greater responsibility, find their community and begin to see opportunities where there were previously limitations. PEGLA is more than martial arts. We build strength. We create community. We shape opportunities.
Internationella Kvinnoföreningen, IKF
The International Women's Organisation in Malmö (IKF Malmö) is a politically and religiously independent non-profit organization that has been a driving force for gender equality, democracy, and the inclusion of foreign-born women in the Öresund region since 1970. As a pioneer among women’s organisations in Sweden, we provide a dynamic and democratic meeting place where women can grow and thrive. We utilize tailored tools and projects to address each individual's needs, making our inclusion efforts truly unique. Our mission is to empower women. Our activities are designed to help participants transition into employment, internships, or further studies. We aim to equip foreign-born women with the skills and networks needed to integrate into Swedish society, achieve financial independence, and overcome the societal tendencies that victimize and undermine their true potential.
Spelens Hus
Spelen hus is a non-profit association that promotes game culture and geek culture of all kinds. Spelens hus is also a meeting place where other gaming associations have their member activities - everything from board games, role-playing games and figure games to collectible card games, live games, technology and digital games. At Spelens hus you will find people of all ages, backgrounds and genders, both full-fledged geeks and complete beginners. Welcome to Spelen hus to find new friends, develop your gaming hobby or try new kinds of games!
Hej Främling
From Norrbotten in the north to Skåne in the south, today there are Hej främling activities in about 75 places in the country. Our simple idea is the same today as when Hej främling was founded in 2013; to invite to open activities that create vitality and meetings between people. What many experience as difficult, working with inclusion to break exclusion, is easier than many think – we are proof of that.
Dyslexiförbundet Malmö
The Dyslexia Association's mission is to disseminate information and work towards increased knowledge and understanding of the disabilities of reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia and mathematics difficulties/dyscalculia – both among its members and in society. Our goals include supporting children and adults who have reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia and mathematics difficulties/dyscalculia: - giving students help, stimulation and time to achieve success - working to ensure that adults have the right to good education and help in working life - increasing tolerance in society - spreading information - everyone receives compensation in school and working life.
GAK Enighet
GAK Enighet was founded in 1892!In 1986 we moved to Fagerstagatan where we still have our activities. Here at Enighet Sportcenter, we have a modern facility with 7 different training-halls and a large gym. We also have a Cafe´ & Sportshop and in the locker-rooms we have sauna & solarium.The club has won both World Cup- and Olympic gold. We have 11 different sections, for example kickboxning, thaiboxning and boxing. Also, a a lot of budo-sports such as karate, judo, taekwondo, aikido och kendo.
IFALL - Integration för Alla
IFALL is a Swedish organisation based in Malmö and Lund working to create inclusive communities through culture, creativity, learning and international cooperation. We organise workshops, community activities and projects that bring people together across cultures, languages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on young people, women and families. Our Baby Café / Parents Café is a welcoming space for parents and young children to meet, connect and share experiences. We focus on plurilingual families, creating opportunities to celebrate different languages and cultures while building community. ARTEMI offers creative art workshops for women, using art, storytelling and autobiographical methods to explore identity, culture and personal experiences.
Erikshjälpen - Malmö och Åkarp
Erikshjälpen Second Hand is a children's rights organization and a second-hand movement with around 50 stores around Sweden and two in Norway that provide income for children's rights work. In 2025, Erikshjälpen contributed with its 50 Second Hand stores to 106 million in aid to needy children nationally and internationally. The stores create jobs and opportunities for people outside the regular labour market for personal development. Approximately 2,000 volunteers are involved in the activities. In Malmö and Åkarp, we currently have a total of 380 employees and the distribution is approximately 13% employees and 87% work-trained and volunteers aged 14 -78. Our volunteers mainly choose to be volunteers because they want to make a difference, help, be part of a social context or gain work experience, references and expand their knowledge with e.g. store work, cashier skills, café operations etc. We have been in Malmö for 26 years and in Åkarp for 31 years. In our stores, in addition to the store, we also have a donation reception and a café.

Arena 305
Do you like music, dance, film, photography or other creative things? At Arena 305 in Sofielund you can test your ideas, create together with others and make your projects and ideas a reality. Arena 305 is a music and culture center for those aged 15-25 and is run by the Malmö City Department of Culture. How does it work? You can come and test Arena 305 twice completely free of charge. If you like it and want to continue using the house, you need to become a member, an annual membership costs 305 SEK. As a member, you get access to the house's premises and the equipment that is available. You can therefore use the place to develop your ideas, learn new things and create together with others. Here you will find! -Stages -Rehearsal rooms -Dance studio -Recording room -DJ room -Pod room -Film and camera equipment -Gallery -Café Would you like to organize something? You can also organize your own events completely free of charge at Arena 305. Maybe you want to organize a concert, workshop, lecture, film screening or exhibition? You decide what you want to do, we will help you make your idea a reality. Everyone is welcome at the events, you don't have to be a member or be between 15 and 25 years old to come and take part in what happens on the stages at Arena 305. Come by, try something new and do your thing!
ReDI School of Digital Integration
ReDI School is a non-profit technical school. We offer a free program of IT and technology education at several levels with a special focus on women with migrant and refugee backgrounds. Our focus is to create digital empowerment by helping women acquire digital skills and a social and professional network in Sweden. We also work for increased diversity and inclusion in the Swedish labor market, especially in the technology sector. We see newcomers as a great asset to society and are here to support them in realizing their potential.
Amnesty International
Amnesty is the world's largest independent human rights organization that works to ensure that human rights apply to everyone, everywhere and always throughout the world! Amnesty documents human rights violations in the world, creates opinion and influences those in power to stop abuses, highlight human rights and create lasting change. A large part of Amnesty's advocacy work is made possible by activists who are involved in volunteer work in the form of activist groups locally, nationally and internationally.
Student Hörnet
Student Hörnet is a non-profit student association in Malmö and the only student association in Malmö with its own premises for students. We work to strengthen student life and reduce loneliness among students by creating an open and welcoming place where students can meet, socialize and feel a sense of community. In our premises we arrange various events, activities, workshops and social gatherings. Our vision is to create a second home for students in Malmö, a place where you can come as you are, meet new people and feel like a part of student life.
Malmö Crawl & Medley Sällskap
Learn to crawl in Malmö's best swimming course! We run a swimming school and crawl course for all ages in Malmö where we start from the crawl swimming style. Where: At Simhallsbadet (old Aq-va-kul) in Malmö When: Sundays. About 20 times. We follow the school term. Requirements: That you dare to dip your head and are at least 120cm tall. Bring: Swimming goggles and padlock for changing Price: 1500 SEK/term for children/youths/students and 2000 SEK/term for adults/pensioners. Africans Arise
Africans Arise aims to conduct non-profit activities to empower and uplift African communities in Skåne and Sweden. It aims to foster connections and engagements between the African community and the wider Swedish society, promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion without discrimination. The organization achieves this through Community Building, Cultural Exchange, Economic Empowerment, Advocacy & Social Justice, and Youth Empowerment.
Spelberoendes Förening
Spelberoendes Förening has over 20 years experience of prevent and remedy gambling addiction. Our help targets both gamblers and relatives and consists of big parts of self-help-meetings and individual meetings.During these meetings, you will get the possibility to meet others that have been or are in a similar situation as yourself.
